To bridge learning gaps by providing free and accessible learning opportunities that build knowledge, character, and confidence in children, especially in underserved communities. As a social enterprise, we balance accessibility with sustainability, offering free learning resources while sustaining our impact through paid programs and partnerships.
To empower a new generation of changemakers through accessible and holistic educational support
We bridge learning gaps by blending access, mentorship, and value-based education for lasting impact.
More than 300 easy-to-follow video lessons in our digital classroom are helping children learn at their own pace and bridge rural-urban learning gaps
The Palms Tutors began as a simple idea: a young undergraduate’s dream to help children excel in school. What started with a few math lessons has grown into a movement that’s changing how children learn, think, and grow.
Our journey began online, creating short, relatable math video lessons that made learning easier for the Nigerian child. Along the way, through community engagements, we discovered something deeper: many children in rural communities weren’t just struggling with math, but with learning itself. Weak numeracy and literacy foundations, limited access to books, and a lack of mentorship often held them back.
This realization reshaped our mission. We understood that true education must go beyond subjects; it must build character, confidence, and curiosity.
Today, that vision lives on through The Palms Tutors Learning Hub, a safe and supportive space where learning is free and transformative.
Here, children can:
Access a community library
Explore digital math lessons at their own pace
Engage in monthly talks that nurture godly values and positive habits

Community Engagement Through the First-2-Nine Club
In 2022, we founded the First-2-Nine Teenagers Club in Awa-Ijebu, creating a safe space for teenagers to learn, grow, and receive mentorship. The club has become a model for rural youth engagement.
We are committed to reinvesting a percentage of our income, alongside generous donations from sponsors and partners, into community outreach, empowering children with math mastery through competitions, book drives, tutoring, and mentorship. Our key initiatives include:
The Palms Tutors Math Challenge (2019): Our flagship scholarship initiative awarded scholarships to the top 30 students from three public secondary schools in Ogun State, covering both tuition and math textbooks, rewarding excellence while removing the financial barriers that often stand between bright students and their next academic milestone.
The Math R.Aid Program (2020): Launched during a period when access to learning had never been more unequal, connecting five (5) indigent students with volunteer online math tutors for a full school term, with data costs sponsored by a generous donation from the Alfred Pops Fund.
The Aropo Book Drive (2022): We distributed over 200 early math textbooks to preschoolers in underserved communities, providing their first structured introduction to numeracy, starting with foundational skills such as basic addition. For many of these children, this was the first learning material they had ever owned. A small book, but for a child who has never had one, it's the beginning of a different relationship with learning.
The First-2-Nine Teenagers Club: Launched in 2021, this remains one of our most impactful outreach programs, dedicated to nurturing confident, responsible, and values-driven teenagers in rural communities through mentorship, life skills training, and faith-based support. What started with 8 pioneer members grew to 45 within its first year. Today, it remains a core part of the Learning Hub.
Our most recent and exciting project is the Palms Tutors Learning Hub, an initiative designed to provide a safe, digital, and value-driven learning environment for children in underserved communities. Based in Awa-Ijebu, a rural community in Ogun State, Nigeria, our hub aims to build numeracy and literacy skills in children who otherwise have limited access to quality educational resources.
In addition, we facilitate monthly mentorship programs to nurture a future generation of leaders with sound character.
